Jan is asking us to Bear With Her this week at Little Red Wagon Challenge.  Yes, you guessed it, it's not that she's asking us to be patient with her, she wants us to use a bear on our creations.  I happen to love bears, on cards anyway.  I went to my little red wagon and pulled out a couple of LOTV bears that hadn't been inked up yet.

The set that won out is called Present Trio from Lili of the Valley -

I used the Various Ink and terrycloth method to try and make they look soft and fuzzy.  The papers are digital papers I have been have loads of fun using.  They are from Nitwit Collections.

Dig out your bear stamps and show them some love.  Then join me and the other Girlfriends over at the Little Red Wagon.

Aloha,
Brenda

This week our sponsor is:

Wild Orchid Crafts

Here is my card, using one of my most favorite  color combinations; Pink, Green and Blue.  This darling image is Lucy's Flowers from Sasayaki Glitter -

I love these colors because they make me smile and they just go so well together in my opinion.  I also think they are perfect for this oh so sweet image.  Lucy reminds me of my daughter when she was a little one.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your creations.  I can't wait to be inspired to us some new color combinations.  So, head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the fabulous prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Halloween Goodie Bag Tags

Welcome back to the Whimsie Doodles challenges.  There have been a couple of changes in the challenges.  The challenges will continue to start on the 15th of the month.  The great news is they will be anything goes with a twist.  There will be one winner drawn at random from all eligible entries. If the winning entry has followed the "Anything Goes" theme the prize will be THREE standard Whimsie Doodles images of their choice.  However, if the winning entry has followed the twist, the prize will be FIVE  they will win 5 standard Whimsie Doodles images of their choice.  Pretty nifty changes if you ask me.

So....Halloween is just one big party, right?   I saw these darling images and was immediately inspired -

For my creation, I've made some Halloween tags to attach to goodie bags for my co-workers.  They may even like the tags better than the goodies!

These cuties are called Halloween Hootenannies and all 8 images are included in this fun set.  You can find them among the Halloween images near the bottom of this page.  I used a tag for the base and fussy cut the images before adding Stickles for a bit of sparkle.  I have one more little project I made with these cuties.  I'll share them with you next month.

I sure hope you'll join our challenge, I really love seeing your creations.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to make a card showcasing something from your favorite film or song.   Be sure to tell us what your favorite film or song is and why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:
Sweet and Sassy Stamps

I found the perfect Melonheadz digis to illustrate my favorite film which is the Wizard of Oz.  Here's my card -

I grew up in Kansas so that kinda explains my love of the Wizard of Oz.  Believe me, I have at times wished I could click my heels three times and say "there's no place like home" because that is the absolute truth for me.  On a side note, one of my favorite songs is a take off of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.  I love the original but love the version by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole one of my very favorite songs ever.

I can wait to see your creations and learn what your favorites are.  We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Fur-ever Friend

Yip, it's Wednesday again.  This week Kate is our hostess and she wants to see our "fur ever" friends on our creations.  I have had cats, dogs and rabbits (and a parrot) as wonderful buddies through out my life.  We are currently furless in our  home but hopefully before long we will find a forever doggie fur baby.  I would love to adopt another rescue dog, but the breeds that are usually available here are not ones I want to take on at this point in my life.  I joke with my husband, I need a dog to walk me.

With all that talk about dogs, you probably thought I would do a dog card...but I had this darling LOTV bunny that needed some ink in a bad way and I needed a baby card, so without fur-ther ado -

A little fussier than my usual style, but I'm really loving these shaped cards and I find the stitching very therapeutic.  I used my Scan and Cut to cut the solid shape.  I have never done a tutorial but may try my luck at sharing how I did it, it was super easy!

Hope you'll share with us your tribute to a beloved fur ever friend.  Be sure to check out the make by the Girl Friends, they are always amazing and then ink up to the Little Red Wagon blog.

Thanks so much for popping in.  I love reading your comments.

Aloha,
Brenda
