Little Miss Muffett - Backyard Houses BBQ

It's my pleasure to share with you one of the new May release images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  It's called Backyard Houses BBQ and holds so much potential.  It comes with several accessories which will be fun to create little scenes with.  Today I went the CAS route -

I really love coloring up this sweet little house and felt like all it needed was a sentiment and a little heart.  It would be perfect for the Little Miss Muffet anything goes challenge.  We sure hope you join us!

As You Like It Flora or Fauna

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite.  Use flora or fauna  on your creation and tell us why it's your favorite.

This week our sponsor is:

This is a hard choice to depends on what mood I am in and what I want to create with. I chose flowers for this challenge because there are so many wonderful techniques you can use to color them. Besides that, flowers just make me smile.

Here is my card featuring flowers -

I used a new to me technique for using a stamp positioned to double stamp first for the very wet watercolor and second with VersaMark for embossing.  It was fun to do!

We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well!

Our Sponsor this week is -

Here's my card cheering Father on Father's Day -

I learned that you can give clear droplets a little extra shine by adhering them with Stickles.  If you look closely you will see a little bit of iridescent shine.

I hope you'll have a chance to join us at CRAFT Challenge blog.  We look forward to seeing your creations!

Double Duty Post

Happy Wednesday!  It's Little Red Wagon Challenge time again.  Heather is our hostess and she has chosen 'Under the Sun' as her challenge theme.  So many ways you could go with this, just gotta see that sun a shining!

My card features dies from the new Frantic Stamper Release, 'Animal Cuteness'.  Now that I look at it on the screen, it looks more a big yellow moon at night with that distress oxide sky.  Thank goodness the sentiment saves me -

The items I use from the new release are, Flo the Flamingo (FRA-DIE-10453), Palm Tree Edger (FRA-DIE-10457) and Flamingo Stamp Sentiments (FRA-CL-105).  Dies from older releases are Stitched Waves (FRA-DIE-10258) and Stitched Circles (FRA-DIE-09637).

So, I know the Girlfriends have got this challenge handled, so head over to the Little Red Wagon and follow their links.  I hope you'll consider joining us this week!

Matilda Kangaroo and Ping the Panda

Once again the month is flying by and I have several more cards featuring dies from the Cute Critters release from Frantic Stamper.    In the first card, meet Matilda the Kangaroo (FRA-DIE-10448).

She is holding balloons from the Critter Accessories dies (FRA-DIE-10456) which you are going to love. There are all sorts of cute items to add character to the animals in this release. Also featured here are Simple Scalloped Edgers (FRA-DIE-10463) with a sentiment from Lama Sentiments (FRA-CL-098).

Next up is another look at Ping the Panda (FRA-DIE-10462).  Ping is all settled into her Bamboo Stencil (FRA-STN-005) and Tropical Leaves (FRA-DIE-10461) jungle.  Also featured are Long Speech Bubbles (FRA-DIE-10462) and Wild Sentiments (FRA-CL-100).

For more peeks at what the design team has created, follow the direct links from the products above.  Thank you for stopping in for a look!

Ollie Owl

I think it's time to so you another card made with dies from Frantic Stamper's new Cute Critters release.  This is Ollie the Owl (FRA-DIE-10455) and the clear stamp set, Owl Sentiments (FRA-CL-106).

This card was super simple and quick to make.  I made a watercolor background with a kid's watercolor set.  Ollie was die cut and put together with scraps from my stash.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and the panel was adhered to a cardstock base.  That's it, as I mentioned, super simple, right?

I want to encourage you to check out the Frantic Stamper store.  They have a bunch of wonderful new items in.  Remember, they don't just sell their dies.  I recently got some of the Cosmic Shimmer goodies that I can't wait to play with.  All of our craft/stamp stores here are disappearing and Frantic Stamper has become my go-to store.

Thanks so much for stopping in.  Have a wonderful week!

Sketch Saturday #514

We have a great sketch for you at Sketch Saturday this week.  We also have a fab sponsor, one of my fav digital stamp stores, Di's Digital Stamps!  Here's the sketch by Claire -

And here's my take on the sketch using one of the newer designs from Di's Digital Stamps, Bunny Cupcake -

I took a few liberties with this sketch by putting four little flags at the bottom of the sketch instead of 3.  I colored this cutie up with Copic markers.

Now, you know the drill, over to you so we can see how you use the sketch.  If you need some inspiration, stop by the Sketch Saturday blog and see what my teamies have created.

Have a wonderful weekend!
